Alexis Agliano Sanborn is an independent researcher and non-profit professional with a background in Japanese studies. She directed the award-winning documentary short about food education, Nourishing Japan (2020), and produced the podcast "Season by Season," which explores the microseasons of Japan and led to her forthcoming co-authored book, "Moments in Bloom: Japanese Seasonal Living for a Mindful Life." She has a master's degree in both Japanese studies and public administration. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and making her neighborhood more beautiful!
