Kate Flann grew up in Denver, Colorado and received her double B.A in Sociology and Political Science from Colorado State University, Fort Collins. After receiving her M.A. in International Studies in London, England, she was placed early in the J.E.T. Programme with the Saikai Board of Education in Nagasaki Prefecture for 1.5 years. She currently works as a Case Management Administrator at a law firm in Philadelphia, though she is looking to go back to school for publishing. In her spare time, she likes working out, reading, writing, and painting.
