Evelyn Rodriguez is a JET Program alumna who served as an Assistant Language Teacher in Sendai, Miyagi from 2018–2020, working in both general and special education settings. During her time in Japan, she was actively involved in school and community life, coaching students, supporting English learning initiatives, and participating in cultural exchange activities. Inspired by her experience, she earned a Master of Science in Early Childhood Special Education and now works as a special education teacher in New York City. Evelyn remains actively involved with JETAANY through events and volunteer work and is committed to fostering community and cultural exchange among alumni.
